Chapter 7: The Shard of Hope

9 min read

The sun had barely risen over the shattered seas as the crew regrouped on the floating Admin Island. The weight of their recent battle lingered in the air—exhaustion mixed with determination.

Uzoth stood before them, the three fragments of the Eclipse Blade carefully resting on a stone table.

"The blade's fragments cannot be reforged by ordinary means," he explained. "Only a forge empowered by the ancient Voidsmiths can restore its true form."

Luffy stepped forward.

"Where do we find this forge?"

Uzoth looked toward the horizon.

"Deep within the Void Abyss. A realm between worlds—where time and space fold in on themselves."

Ripindra smirked, his usual confidence slowly returning.

"Sounds like a fun little trip."

Oden grabbed one of the ancient maps from the Admin Archives and spread it across the table.

His eyes quickly moved across the strange markings.

"The Void Abyss isn't just a place," Oden said. "According to the old records, it was built as a trial. The Voidsmiths didn't want anyone reaching their sanctuary without proving they could survive the path."

Dhruv cracked his knuckles.

"Then we'll be the first to break through."

Oden rolled up the map.

"Don't get too confident. These records describe things that even ancient civilizations couldn't overcome."

Luffy grinned.

"Then we'll overcome them."

The crew gathered around the portal as Uzoth activated it.

The air twisted.

Space folded inward.

A massive swirling gateway appeared above the island, revealing a world filled with violet darkness.

One by one, the crew stepped through.

The moment they entered, gravity suddenly shifted.

The ground tilted sideways.

Some of them were thrown across the strange landscape while others landed on floating pieces of stone.

"Whoa!" Bartolomeo shouted as he grabbed onto a nearby rock.

"This isn't right," Thaman said, flames flaring around his fists. "Where's everyone?"

A monstrous roar echoed through the darkness.

The sound traveled through the entire abyss.

Thaman's flames grew brighter.

"Something's here."

A second roar answered from somewhere far away.

The crew quickly realized what had happened.

They had been separated.

And something was hunting them.

Deep within the darkness, two enormous violet eyes opened.

The Void Warden had awakened.

Luffy bounced through the shifting corridors as the walls suddenly began closing around him.

Instead of panicking, he grinned.

"Okay! This place is crazy!"

He activated Gear 5 for short bursts, stretching between walls and bouncing off the strange surfaces before the corridor could trap him.

"Come on! Where's everyone?"

Elsewhere, Oden moved through another section of the labyrinth.

He held his swords tightly as strange symbols appeared on the walls.

"These aren't random."

He stepped closer.

The markings formed an ancient sequence describing the path toward the center.

Oden memorized the symbols before continuing.

"If the Voidsmiths built this place, they left a trail."

A massive shadow suddenly rushed toward him.

Oden drew his sword.

"Then I'll follow it."

The shadow struck.

Oden blocked the attack and was pushed several steps backward.

He smiled.

"So that's the test."

Nearby, Akshith moved quickly through a collapsing corridor.

Bartolomeo stumbled behind him, struggling to keep his balance.

"I hate this place!"

"Keep moving," Akshith said.

He launched a series of Dragon Talon kicks, destroying the corrupted stone blocking their path.

Bartolomeo raised a glowing barrier behind them just as the corridor collapsed.

"That was close!"

"We're not stopping."

Dhruv found himself facing a massive stone wall.

He struck it with a Quake-powered punch.

The entire corridor shook.

Cracks spread across the wall before it collapsed.

Dhruv looked through the opening.

"Easy."

A distant roar made him stop.

"...Okay. Maybe not that easy."

Thaman encountered a mass of corrupted vines covering the corridor.

They suddenly lunged toward him.

Thaman raised both hands.

Flames erupted forward, burning through the vines and clearing the path.

"Keep coming."

Harshil moved through a completely dark corridor.

He closed his eyes and released a pulse of sound.

The sound traveled through the walls and returned to him.

Harshil smiled.

"I can hear everything."

Another pulse revealed the maze around him.

"Three paths ahead. One collapsed. One leads toward the center."

He turned toward the correct passage.

"Found it."

Law appeared inside a massive chamber.

"Room."

His sphere expanded across the area.

Hidden traps became visible.

Blades suddenly shot from the walls.

"Shambles."

Law switched their positions with pieces of debris, causing the traps to strike empty space.

"Too predictable."

Zoro wandered through a corridor filled with dozens of identical paths.

Every turn created another illusion.

He closed his eyes.

"If I can't tell which path is real…"

He drew his swords.

"…I'll cut through all of them."

His blades swept through the illusions, causing the false corridors to disappear.

Ace moved through another section of the labyrinth.

His flames burned brighter than before.

He stopped when he heard something familiar.

Luffy's laughter echoed through the darkness.

Ace smiled.

"There you are."

He followed the sound.

Nihal used his Buddha form to protect a group of crew members from falling debris.

His enormous golden form held the collapsing stones above them.

"Move!"

Charvik used his Kitsune abilities to create illusions of the crew, sending them down several different paths.

The Void Warden chased the false images, buying everyone time.

"Let's see which one it follows."

Mokshith charged through a narrow passage, using his Mammoth strength to push aside enormous chunks of stone.

Sudheepkar transformed into his T-Rex form and let out a powerful roar.

The sound echoed throughout the maze.

"HEY! OVER HERE!"

The Void Warden turned toward him.

Sudheepkar grinned.

"Got you."

Tanish combined Tiger and Dark abilities, using shadows to move between sections of the labyrinth while leaving dark trails for the others to follow.

Tanush transformed into his dragon form and carried several crew members across a massive gap.

"Hold on!"

His wings carried them over the endless void.

Sriyansh froze unstable sections of the maze, creating safe paths through areas where the ground constantly shifted.

"Go! The ice won't hold forever!"

The crew followed.

One by one, their paths began connecting.

Finally, they reached the center of the labyrinth.

Everyone gathered around a massive circular chamber.

At its center stood a glowing pedestal.

Oden walked toward it.

"This is it."

The pedestal opened.

A key made from radiant black metal slowly rose from within.

Ancient symbols covered its surface.

Oden picked it up.

"The key to the Voidsmith Sanctuary."

The Voidsmith Sanctuary

The key opened a sealed gateway deep beneath the abyss.

The enormous doors slowly separated.

Beyond them was a chamber unlike anything the crew had seen before.

A massive forge floated in the air, surrounded by frozen flames.

Time itself seemed to have stopped around it.

Three ancient beings stood beside the forge.

The last Voidsmiths.

The eldest stepped forward.

"We have watched your struggle."

His eyes moved toward the three fragments of the Eclipse Blade.

"You bring the pieces of the Eclipse Blade…"

He looked at the crew.

"…and the spirit required to wield it."

Another Voidsmith spoke.

"But power has a cost."

The third pointed toward the forge.

"The blade cannot be restored by metal alone. It requires the energy of those who awakened it."

Luffy stepped forward.

"Then let's do it."

The Voidsmiths activated the forge.

The three fragments rose into the air.

Black metal and golden energy surrounded them.

The crew began channeling their powers into the forge.

Thaman's flames wrapped around the molten metal, keeping its temperature under control.

Oden used his swords to guide the fragments into position, following the ancient instructions carved around the forge.

Dhruv released controlled quakes that resonated through the metal, forcing the three fragments to connect.

Harshil sent precise sound waves through the blade, stabilizing its strange energy.

Luffy's Gear 5 aura spread through the forge, filling the chamber with his overwhelming willpower and determination.

Bartolomeo created several layers of glowing barriers around the forge, preventing the energy from exploding outward.

Zoro repeatedly struck the blade with controlled sword attacks, shaping its edge and strengthening its structure.

Ace added his flames to the forge.

His fire wasn't awakened.

It didn't need to be.

He pushed his power forward anyway.

"I can still contribute."

Charvik surrounded the forge with Kitsune energy, creating illusions that confused the unstable energy trying to escape.

Law expanded Room around the entire chamber.

"If anything moves out of position, I'll correct it."

Nihal entered his Buddha form and released a steady golden aura into the forge.

Sudheepkar used his immense strength to hold the forge's lower structure steady.

Mokshith pushed against the ancient machinery when it began to shake.

Sriyansh covered overheating sections with ice, preventing the forge from becoming unstable.

Tanush's dragon energy surged into the chamber, adding a powerful current to the forging process.

Tanish combined Tiger energy with Dark power, creating a dense field around the blade.

Akshith used Dragon Talon to strike the surrounding metal supports at precise points, keeping the forge aligned.

Mahan poured controlled magma into the forge's channels, supplying the immense heat required to melt the fragments together.

Kizaru stood farther away from the others.

He said nothing.

His betrayal was still fresh in everyone's minds.

Luffy glanced toward him.

"You're not helping?"

Kizaru looked at the forge.

"Not yet."

Luffy narrowed his eyes.

"We're watching you."

Kizaru gave a faint smile.

"I know."

The Voidsmiths continued the ritual.

The three broken pieces began merging.

Cracks across the fragments disappeared.

The black metal turned brighter.

Golden energy raced along the blade.

The entire chamber shook.

Then—

Silence.

The Eclipse Blade floated above the forge.

Whole again.

Its dark surface reflected the golden energy surrounding it.

Oden stepped closer.

Ancient symbols appeared along the blade.

He stared at them.

"These aren't just markings."

The eldest Voidsmith nodded.

"They are a warning."

Luffy looked at him.

"A warning about what?"

The Voidsmith looked toward the ceiling.

"The Eclipse Blade can sever the connection between Imu and the Glitch Core."

Everyone became silent.

"But once it is used," the Voidsmith continued, "the blade will awaken something that has been sleeping beneath the Void Abyss for centuries."

A deep rumble traveled through the chamber.

The crew looked at each other.

Another rumble followed.

This one was louder.

Cracks began forming across the floor.

Ripindra slowly stopped smiling.

"Please tell me that's part of the forging process."

Uzoth looked down.

"It isn't."

The entire Void Abyss began shaking.

Somewhere beneath them, something enormous moved.

Oden tightened his grip around his sword.

"Then the blade wasn't the only thing waiting for us."

Luffy grinned.

"Whatever it is…"

He looked toward the trembling ground.

"…we'll face it."

Far away, above the shattered world, Imu opened his eyes.

A dark mirror appeared before him.

He saw the restored Eclipse Blade.

For the first time, his expression changed.

"So they restored it."

The mirror cracked.

Imu slowly stood.

"Then it's time to awaken what was buried."

Beneath the Void Abyss, something ancient opened its eyes.

The Eclipse Blade had been reforged.

The crew had their weapon.

But they had also awakened something that even the Voidsmiths feared.
